its a city in the desert made out of sandstone (sort of). the walls are just skinned in sandstone with 5 layers of obsidian to prevert creeper breeches and the rest is cobble filler. doing the rough math on the wall i am needing 2,000 obsidian and roughly 8,000 sandstone. and that is just for the walls, gates and corner towers.

now factor in the 50,000 blocks of sand i need to remove to do the sewers. its just going to take too long for me to do so i think ill wait untill the reset and choose a friendlier material. i like the smooth block look but that will have to wait untill lava + water = smoothstone.

I thought creepers couldn't destroy obsidian? So wouldn't you only need 1 layer (five seems downright excessive)?

Obsidian can absorb TNT explosions, nevermind the weaker creeper explosions.

Well, absorb is the wrong word...

When is the server going to be reset?

i went with 5 because the terrain around the wall is not flat, if it was i could probably get away with 2 or 3 layers of obsidian.

I'm not understanding? Regardless of the elevation of the terrain, you should still only need 1 layer of obsidian. Unless you're talking about the height of your wall?

General plan is build whatever you like and don't grief basically. Some areas have a theme and have rules to accompany them though.

Also take the request to the sticky just for them so you don't run the risk of Dark missing it.

I'd be perfectly OK with making a huge imperial temple on one side of the start area and a chaos one on the other...

And a CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT in the middle.

The spawn should be inside a CAAT, you pull a lever and the hatch at the back opens.

Now that would be cool.
Difficult though...

Maybe just have the top hatch open and a dispenser toss you a wood sword if you stand there.

I did a Google search for them, not any good ones about. Though there was a thread about one in production it seems to have died back in August.

I was going to make a custom texture pack, mostly just a few tweaks that me and corpses think could look better (like glowstone, iron blocks, paintings), and we were also gonna do some 40k-related stuff too, having bows as bolt pistols (though lasguns would be better) and daimond armour as power armour, but I could make one for me and corpses, the other for all-40k. I'll get started after halloween.

Goodbye guys, you've been great friends, i've enjoyed the server very much. Dark decided to banish me for the following reasons:

- Taking cobble from Sniper_Dan, without me owning up to it quickly enough. I apologise.
- Entering Chompy's chest without his permission, I feel quite bad about that, sorry Chompy, I would have returned the items, but now I'm afraid I can't, dark can spawn them for you.

I would like to thank you all, and I hope you realise i'm not a griefer or criminal, I am a nice person who made a few mistakes.

You have my interest, let me know if you need me to help out. Could just find a texture pack that looks cool, then modify it slightly so everything looks great and it saves all the annoying work such as grass, biome shading, etc.
