so, from what I understand, cypher is working his way to terra, to either kill the emperor, or resurrect him.

how could he go about doing so, there are about 10,000 pissed of captain titus type soldiers, a bunch of imperial fists, and probably other defenses with shoot on sight orders, and I am assuming that, even if he comes close to the segmentum solar area, how could he possible get inside?

I doubt he is that sneaky, and if it was realistically possible that that could happen, I bet there are two or more guys guarding he big doors leading to the golden throne.

he cant just slip them a 20 and walk right through.

I really like cypher as a character, so I would like to know if his quest could be accomplished.

There's already a thread in this very forum discussing how close one could get to the Emperor/how far into the palace/whereabouts on Terra people have access to.

The Emperor knows what's going on around him, and can basically personally (mentally/psychically) intervene when and if someone gets uncomfortably close - that is provided his personal Custodes and Titans in his bedroom don't realize what's going on first - and that's unlikely.

Quite clearly his plan isn't to waltz into the throne room, and he's escaped from the Rock, so odds are he's pretty decent at this sort of thing.

surely, there is only one entrance, even the designer of the taurox is not that stupid as to put more than one entrance.

He's going to slip in through the webway.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

What; you mean that thing with more Daemons on it than Anathrax? Yeah, I'm sure that he could slip by the billions of daemons. Totally gonna happen. Totally.

the webway is not populated by daemons, from what I understand, isn't it entirely populated by eldar?

the harlequinns keep it all patched up, right?

but how would cypher have access to the webway? How would he enter, leave or anything of the sort?

The Imperial Webway Project ended with Magnus making a bigass "hole" in the wall of the Webway. Daemons proceeded to pour through this hole by the million. This hole is basically the primary reason that the Emperor wasn't out kicking some traitor ass during the first Siege of Terra; he was using the Golden Throne as a means of projecting his psychic power into the Webway, and thereby keep the Webway Portal on Terra closed.

It's not unthinkable. One of the Custodes managed to get within striking distance of the Emperor (when he was alive) during a 'Blood Game'. Which stands to reason that Cypher has atleast a slim chance to do the same to a dead Emperor.

An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded.
