I have a well painted miniature that is a bit bent from storage. What is the safest way to bend it back into shape without damaging the painted job? It's plastic or resin I'm not sure...

There is no way to guarantee the paint won't take a little hit - but if you soak the bent piece (grrr resin swords...) in hot water for 60 second increments (what comes out of the tap should be fine) you should be able to gently work it back into place. If it doesn't bend, don't force it, soak and retry.
