Hello all,

I am aware that there are many saxon miniature ranges out there, but just wanted to post this one, as the minis themselves are beautiful (and metal thank god). They appear to work quite well as rohirric infantry, and come at a not unreasonable price (16 figures for 22 pounds). the company is called saxon miniatures. Here is a link to one of their excellent products: http://saxonminiatures.com/product/saxon-warlords/

regards

Those are nice, and perhaps most significantly there are a fair few cloaked models in there, something most Saxon minis lack compared to Rohan ones.

Now if only they were mounted.

They would make excellent Edain from the First Age (Halethim, Hadorim, or Beorings).

They are some of the most beautiful Saxons currently produced.

But the Rohirrim are more "Goths."

The Goths and Saxons were sibling Germanic Tribes, both of whom migrated west.

Tolkien merged the two, but the names he chose for the later Rohirrim were derived from the Gothic Éothéod of the earlier Third Age

If those were mounted, then you would effectively have Goths (with a few minor differences), and thus Rohirrim.

But damn are they pretty.

Some extremely lovely figures there. Unfortunately they use the archaic "use a percentage of the RRP for shipping costs" method, without removing VAT.

Do you know of any other retail stockists of their ranges who do mail order?

No one seems to have them in stock. So, unfortunately, if you want them, you'll have to go with the annoying shipping costs.
