I have collected pretty much all the KDK I'll need for standard 40k games. I've got one of each of the formations and some extra bloodletters and MCs. I might get some superheavies /FW for apoc games but that's for later. Right now I'm looking for some good allies. The main focus of my allies I'm thinking will be objective holding. KDK Cultists are alright but they will die quick and I want most of my other units in CC tearing gak up. My first idea was Nurgle Daemons. Pretty much the perfect objective holders. Was thinking a big squad (or 2 smaller ones) of plaguebearers with a FNP herald. Plop them on an objective and they'll stay there. Maybe get a GUO for larger point games. Not sure what else to add from Nurgle. Beasts are good but they fufill the same role as my spawn and I prefer my combat units to have BFTBG. Any other ideas? Nurgle is the best option I can come up with, could also add a chaos knight or Cypher with his chosen.

He's been ferried through hell on a ship that's ten thousand years old to some godforsaken, war-torn rock; He is one of ten million men snatched from his home to fight a war he barely understands; He wages war against devouring hiveminds, ravenous demons and hordes of hyper-advanced aliens with strange technologies and sorceries he never dreamed existed; no one will remember his sacrifice, there will be no records of his deeds, no glorious parades in his honor, and no remembrance of his name. All he will earn is a shallow, unmarked grave on a forgotten world untold lightyears from home.
Yet for all this thankless sacrifice a Guardsman is a man, just like you. He has no millennia-old genetic engineering, no prophetic leader, no miracles of faith. He has his lasgun, his orders, and those beside him. He is the Imperial Guard.
And he will hold the line.

Belakor to make your D Thirster invisible and 2x 11 Pink Horrors to sit on objectives and provide warp charges. The horrors are pretty durable when going to ground in ruins for a 3+ rerolling 1s and invis makes the Thirster a monster. Belakor is no slouch and should be able to get in combat once your hounds have tied down some of your opponents nastier shooting

Nurgle demons and nurgle marines are both cheap and effective unit holders (add a herald to the former for FNP if you really want it to stick around)...but...a few other options. Nurgings are troops, very tiny and easy to hide, and they have MoN, hence shrouded. Also, helcult formation grants fearless to cultists, making them a very points effective objective holder. Give the helbrute a plasma cannon and he sits back causing havoc on the enemy from behind his 3+ cover save (provided the cultists are still in front of him).

Active armies, still collecting and painting First and greatest love - Orks, Orks, and more Orks largest pile of shame, so many tanks unassembled most complete and painted beautiful models, couldn't resist the swarm will consume all
Armies in disrepair: nothing new since 5th edition oh how I want to revive, but mostly old fantasy demons and some glorious Soul Grinders in need of love |

Csms with a vehicle with legacy of 1st war of Armageddon. Boost those khorne daemon saves and really cause some misery.
(Can be led by belakor and all)
Csms and daemons get blood slaughterers which fit right in.
Or a daemon fmc with the grimoire.. 3++ hound blobs led by a fist Lord can mess up most things.
