I started playing Sisters of Battle a while back, and decided that I needed to add some bodies to my army. I like the idea of Crusaders in my Ecclesiarchy war bands, so I decided to make some. However, the official models for them are either metal or finecast, so since I'm in a creative mood forget that noise.
Instead, I'm taking some of these:

and using some parts from these:

to make my own.

So far, this is what I've gotten:

For comparision, here he is next to a Sister I'm still working on, and the nearly-completed Father Samuel.

Thoughts, critiques, and suggestions are welcome.

Looks like an interesting concept. Should upload pics when they're painted!

Honestly, the head looks off on that body. Converting the Scions to hold the DE weaponry might work better.

Update time!

As you can see, I now have three of them all glued together, but theirs still some work to do before they're ready to paint. I've been trimming some of the spikes on the arms and shoulders to make them look a little more Imperial, and I've also been using green stuff to cover over the Elven text on the shields. Next, I'm going to try to change the bodies so that they look a bit more high-tech, so that the head/body disconnect isn't too jarring, like sockwithaticket mentioned. I might use the scion backpacks, along with various ammo pouches and other imperial bits to accomplish that, although I've been considering using green stuff to layer over the chain mail skirts, so that it looks more like metal plates. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

The symbol on the shield looks closer to the Iron Warriors than any Imperial symbol.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

Yesterday, I primed the completed models, and took the following pictures. I apologize for the quality, I took them with just my phone.

As far as making them look more Imperial, I've added a few purity seals and scrolls, they'll hopefully show better once they're painted. Another thing that the paint will hopefully solve will be the issue of the the shield design, which as Savageconvoy pointed out, looks more Iron Warrior than Ecclesiarchy. Do you think using green stuff to fill in the teeth and eyes on the skulls might help it look more Imperial?

I'm thinking a mostly dark green paint scheme with gold metallic trims, sort of a Green Knight feel. For lore I was going to say that they come from an Imperial world that is at a medieval level of technology for the most part, which would explain why the warriors who come from it fight with sword and shield in a galaxy of bolters and lasguns.

Unfortunately, the painting is going to have to wait for some months, as I'm heading back to college this week, and I can't bring all of my hobby gear. I'll try to get some work in during winter break, but until then, I look forward to reading what you have to say.
