If I have stuff in reserves and my opponent tables me turn one am I considered defeated before or after I roll for reserves? (This is obviously assuming I went first as if he went first and tabled me I would have nothing on my first) But this can also apply if I have Drop Pods which CAN come in turn one.

Thanks

You lose only if you have nothing left on the table at the end of a game turn.

This means if your opponent goes first and tables you on his turn, you still get a chance to bring in reserves.
If he goes second and tables you, you lose.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

You're considered tabled if you have no models on the board at the end of a GAME TURN (not player turn). There is nothing preventing this from happening on Turn 1 but you will always get a least 1 turn (so drop pods will show up)

@Happyjew. If it says I lose for not having models at the end of the Game Turn then wouldn't I lose anyway on turn one if my opponent went first as I would not have a chance to bring in reserves. (I have no drop pods in this scenario).

EDIT: Could I also get a page number on where it states that you lose at the end of the Game Turn?

Without a unit that comes in automatically turn one (scalpel squadron, the dark angels or grey knights stuff, etc) then yes, you'd lose automatically.

Page 133, top right. "If at the end of any game turn, one player has no models on the battlefield his opponent automatically wins".

So yes, if your opponent goes first and tables you in one turn, you will lose at the end of your turn. So it is important to use reserves wisely, and try to deploy at lease one unit out of line of sight if you are expecting an alpha strike.

Now they only get T1 reserves from drop pods, as normal marines
