what is an easy conversion I can use to make sniper rifles for my guardsmen.
there are the sniper models, but they are expensive, and I HATE metal, and there are not enough sniper rifle bits from the command box in the world for more than 5 guardsmen.
any tutorials or the such would be awesome.

I'd guess you could cut a lasgun* down and add a longer barrel with ABS plastic, drilling and pinning should make it strong enough, should be rather simple.
Add a scope with either more ABS or from the bajillion scope parts available and you should be all set.
(I've never tried this)

How about these?  Part # 20, 23, 26, 17, 29 I'm not sure exactly what gun it is, because I don't actually play Scions, but I have a box of 'em, and they look pretty sniper-rifle-ish (compared to space marine sniper scout rifles). There's the cable, the rifle scope, it has a barrel that's at least a little extended... (Tempestus Scions box)

I probably have a ton of those lying around.
they are actually hot shot lasguns (AP3 lasguns)
maybe I could cut the barrel and the scope and use them
I will test it out tomorrow.

Here's how I made some for my old-school Scouts re-pose/conversions...
I found that a small bit of styrene added a suitably OTT barrel, and the reversed Bolt Pistol silencer + muzzle made a nice sniper-y muzzle brake. Switching the Lasgun powerpack for a Bolt Pistol one give a suitably sniper-sized clip too.
I ended up wrapping the barrels of mine in GS fabric, but wished I hadn't.

Thanks man! Someone should have spares for swaps, I'm sure. The beauty of the method is that the Bolt Pistol mags and scopes are slightly different on each of the arms, so you get a varied-but-unified looking unit.
