I have about 20 terminators with 25mm bases as I use them in Space Hulk. Most are from the original lead terminators set back in 89. But now I've started playing 40k again I'd like to be able to play them there as well since they add up to quite a bit of cash if I was to re-buy them. But equally I need to still be able to play (1st ed) Space Hulk with them and 40mm bases won't really work for that. So I need a temporary way to swap the base size.

I've considered just getting 40mm discs of card or plastic and using blu tac to attach them when needed, but that seems a bit naff. Looking online I can see 25mm - 32mm adaptor rings for this sort of thing, but I can't see any that convert 25mm - 40mm. Can anyone recommend a neat way of achieving this?

Ere Sarge, what does reconnoitre mean? BLAM. It means getting your head blown off so your mates know where the enemy are.

You can use them with 25mm bases in 7th edition 40k.
Only rule mentioning base sizes is: Use the model with the base that it was supplied with.

So your old Terminators can still use 25mm, because they were supplied with it.

I can see how that works technically, but is it going to go down well at my local GW store if I turn up for a game? Bearing in mind a decent percentage of the players there likely weren't born when that set was released

If they give you hell for that, tell them you won't play against their Space Marines because they're illegally mounted on 28mm bases instead of the 32mm bases they're supposed to be mounted on.
