I as just wondering what your preferences were. Do you use the Citadel Crusade case? Do you use one of many cases that battlefoam offers? If battlefoam, do you use any of their specific trays, pluck foam, or custom trays? Is there another company that you like better?

I ask because while I currently have and will continue to use my Citadel Skirmish case for 1000 point armies that I can carry around with me in my backpack to work, I need something larger to carry around there rest of my army.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

This massive one from GW that I got from a friend for my Infantry and a .50 calibre ammunition tin from a Machine Gun for my Vehicles.

On a side note the local police are very understanding.

I’m a big fan of KR. I’ve got a Kaiser 3 and can pack quite a lot in there. It’s actually a bit large for smaller lists, so sometimes I just grab a single KRU and drag that to the FLGS for a game.

I literally laughed out loud in my cube at work when I read that.

What do you use to keep your vehicles from bumping into each other or rattling around in the ammo tin? Before I bought my Skirmish case, I got some think craft foam rubber type material (really thin). It'd keep some things separated. But, I'm not sure how much protection it'd offer. I'm interested to hear what you used.

I use a fish tackle box, honestly. I can fit 2k pts Flesh Tearers, 1.5k SW, and 1.5k EC in one go. I should probably invest in a foam case, but I can just carry so much in one box right now.

Here's to me in my sober mood,
When I ramble, sit, and think.
Here's to me in my drunken mood,
When I gamble, sin, and drink.
And when my days are over,
And from this world I pass,
I hope they bury me upside down,
So the world can kiss my ass!

Bubble wrap and some of the crushable egg foam that you can get from hobby shops. I line the tin with the bubble wrap then place a layer of tanks in, top it with a layer of egg foam then place another layer of tanks, etc. The more vulnerable vehicles such as my resin and metal ones are also individually wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap.
It also helps that, after lining, the case is just wide enough for a tank to fit in lengthways snugly.

I use a huge repurposed A/V flight case. I don't have a photo of it handy, but it looks like this:

It's painted to match my Space Marines and has stenciled labels proclaiming its contents to be heavy bolter shells.
