I... actually don't know. Help?

What is the best loadout for a Lone Wolf? For both MEQ, TEQ and GEQ killing. I know the ol' TH/SS is great, but what about WC/SS? Would a Storm Bolter/SS combo work?

I went with wolf claw and storm shield for mine, but I have yet to field it...

I have used them with storm shield and a thunder hammer in terminator armour as allies with my guard.

it works quite well if you take like 2, deepstrike them in T2 around your drop pods with locator beacons.

they take a lot of fire power with 2w, 2+, 3++, 5+++ (they have fnp, don't they? Im pretty sure they do).

and with s8, ap2, and monster hunter, they can dish out a ton of damage.

I would advise taking them with the wolfs, its an extra 2 wounds, and that is not a bad thing, but they remove his ability to deepstrike, making him mostly useless

I run a very fast TWC / drop pod list so I am in your face with a lot of things turn 1 / 2.

Therefore I run 2 Lone Wolves when I run them, both are kitted the same, Wolf Claw and Chainfist. With the amount of threats I have in the opponents face they tend to get ignored as they aren't scoring but if you get these guys deep-striking in turn 2 then on turn 3 there is nothing they struggle to kill barring hammernators, cc beast HQ's and gargantuans

Thats a balls out build dude I like it.

I've ran mine with wc/ss and had a few times where I really missed the ap2 although I still think its a solid build, make sure to add meltabomb though.

The last setup I remember liking was actually frost axe/ss mb. 70 pts iirc and does what I want. Note that the errata makes this one possible since it wasn't initially in some books although digitals I'm sure are updated now.

Lastly if your group is cool with deep striking wolves (wargear vs unit) then I'd take em. If not your probably better off without them since it limits deployment options.
