So I am new to malofaux and have purchased the latigo posse set and while looking through the cards and upgrades I saw hair Trigger which I read is good to use with Santiago, anyways how does it work? It takes (2) to activate which would usemup both his actions for the turn unlessmim not understanding it correctly wouldn't it? In which case how would he pay the (1) to actually use the ability? Would perdita need to use obey on him or the totem use pursuade? If someone could please explain this to me I would be forever grateful! Thxx!

Hair Trigger gives you an additional (2) action, which would use both your ap. This then lets you take three (1) shooting attack actions with no further cost. So paying the 2ap to use Rapid Fire lets you take three shots, using both your ap for the turn, but not needing anything else.

FYI, there is also a melee version of this skill, Flurry, which does the same thing. Uses (2) AP but granting 3 (1) melee actions.

There is actually a varient of this tactical action, Spend 2 AP and discard a card for 3 attacks at the same target, for all 3 types of attack actions

SH = Rapid Fire
ML = Flurry
CA= Furious Casting

Basically it is as grrrfranky has stated. The 2 Action allows you to make 3 attacks. IT specifies 1 AP attack actions simply because some models have attack actions that cost 2 (or even 3) AP and the intent of the ability is to spend 2 Ap and a card for 3 AP for a very specific purpose. Not to turn 2 AP into say 6 AP in the case of a 2 AP attack action.
