I have enough cash from the sale of some MTG cards to be able to pick up a Land Raider/Crusader/Redeemer. The following is what I have. What do you think I should buy next? With such a large Ravenwing force, I'm thinking maybe a Darkshroud. At the same time, having a Land Raider on the board wouldn't be bad either. Those are my thoughts.

*** Please keep in mind that I play at a store where no tournaments are held. All games are for fun and at most bragging rights. It's a very laid back atmosphere where I will be playing most if not all my games.

If you'd like to know what I already have, here's the list:
Spoiler:
HQ:
Belial
Sammael in Sableclaw
Balthasar (Company Master)
Turmiel (Librarian)
Librarian on Space Marine Bike

1 Scout with Missile Launcher
1 Scout Sergeant with Sniper Rifle
23 x Space Marines with Bolter
2 x Space Marines with Plasma Cannon
2 x Space Marines with Plasma Pistol
2 x Veteran Space Marine Sergeant with Chainsord and Plasma Pistol

Elites
1 x Mark V Mortis Pattern Dreadnought (Forge World)
2 x Deathwing Terminator Sergeant
2 x Deathwing Terminator with Assault Cannon
2 x Deathwing Terminator with Chainfist
4 x Deathwing Terminator with Storm Bolter
1 x Deathwing Knight Master
4 x Deathwing Knights
1 x Dark Angels Banner Bearer

Fast Attack
1 x Ravenwing Biker with Plasma Pistol
1 x Ravenwing Biker with Flamer
1 x Ravenwing Bike Sergeant
3 x Ravenwing Biker with with Bolter
1 x Ravenwing Banner Bearer
1 x Ravenwing Apothecary

3 x Ravenwing Black Knights
2 x Ravenwing Land Speeders
1 x Ravenwing Dark Talon/Nephilim Jetfighter
1 x Razorback
1 x Drop Pod

Fortifications
1 x Aegis Defense Line

My thoughts are that the Darkshroud would work very well with all of the Ravenwing models I have. But, a 14 armor tank that can transport 5-8 (depending on the model) Deathwing models plus be a good place for other soldiers to hide behind to stay out of line of sight. Both are appealing.

Thanks in advance

SG

The dark shroud is more generally useful. I'd kitbash one from a LA Storm though, by adding some magnetized gubbons in the back. You'll usually need about two or three dark shrouds so if you convert them from storm you can also run them in a scout bomb list from the regular codex

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

I'd go with the darkshroud aswell.

I find it hard to justify spending 230+ points on a transport that really does very little apart from delivering a payload.
However, I recently discovered that a land raider with a dozer blade rams at Str 10 ( (AV14+1) /2= 7.5 rounded up to Str8. +1 for tank and +1 for being heavy). [evil laughter]

My tactic would be to move at cruising, then flat-out. Disembark the payload on turn 2 and from then on you go for the vehicles. A land raider's shooting capabilities aren't that high anyway so I recommend keeping the guns cheap.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

The old Dark Angel codex allowed dozer blades on Land Raiders but not this year's codex.

Land Raiders only fit if you plan your roster around them. "Them" plural because one by itself doesn't have much value.
