Has anyone in the U.S. made any large Forgeworld orders? I was looking at picking up some IG and Renegades stuff and I was going to do the 250 pound order to get the free express shipping. Has anyone had any experience with making large orders from forgeworld and if there were any import charges?

I have not noticed any.

US does not have import tax on consumer purchases.

The free shipping threshhold is only £100 until the end of September.

I've never paid any extra on the US side for them.

The £100 is for free standard shipping, 250 still gets the express.

If Forge World hadn't deleted all of my previous orders, I could have told you how many I've made.

My group took turns 2-3 times a year making large orders to get the free shipping. I made at least 6, myself.

I've never paid any import charges. I also never got the free express shipping. That must be new or something.

I usually get the "Order has Shipped" on a Tuesday and then receive my order the following Tuesday. We typically ordered on the weekend once we finalized what we're getting. It seems it takes a day or two to process the order.

Only difference I saw was that the larger orders seemed to ship out much faster than smaller orders I have placed. Don't know if it is really because of the bigger order or different staff, changes in the warehouse, etc. I've not gotten any import fees or anything like that appearing out of the blue just because of making a bigger order. If you have a bunch of stuff you want ordering in a bigger batch to avoid shipping costs is the way to go. I've also setup some orders with friends too so we hit the 250 mark more easily and without any single one of us having to pay all of that out of pocket ourselves.
