Here is my entry for 2015's P3 Grandmasters (the Privateer Press painting competition held each year).

Overall, I was rather pleased with how she turned out. I felt that the green added something different that the character wouldn't have if she were painted any other way.

She nearly wasn't completed in time for Gencon. I had actually planned ahead quite well, and would have had her finished handily, except that I got sick enough to stop working on her for almost six weeks in a row (just one minor sickness followed by another).

In the end, I'm very glad I stuck with her, and I'm quite pleased with how she turned out. She received a gold.

For those who care to vote, I've posted her up to CMON.

Fantastic painting and miniature choice, Miss Piggy meets the valkyries, only with a world class paintjob. Beautiful work.

There is not this idea.

Congratulations! The base alone is pretty award-worthy.

Thanks.

When I posted this, I forgot that people don't already all know the new awards system we've been seeing.

Each mini is first separated out into four categories: No Award, Bronze, Silver and Gold. This is based 100% on the piece being awarded- ie, they aren't compared against one another.

After that, the top minis are compared against one another, and one is chosen as the winner. There's no second or third place, just a top in each category, and a best in show.

The winner in warrior model this year also took best in show- it was an Ashlynne piece that I wish I had gotten a better look at (there was some nice freehand on the banner that I saw).

Helga here represents the first time I've gotten a gold at the P3 Grandmasters.

Very nice

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
