So I'm creating a Steel Host army list for my IG, 'cus tanks. I love the Vanquisher, and I found the Beast Hunter shells while surfing the World Wide Warp for more stuff to use. However, I'm not sure if they can be used outside of the Forgeworld Armoured Battlegroup detachment.

So does anyone know, or have an opinion, if the Beast Hunter shell upgrade for the Vanquisher tank is available for tanks outside of an Armoured Battlegroup, for example in a Steel Host detachment?

They are different armies. Just like how CSM and Khorne Daemonkin are different armies. They don't get to share stuff in between the two

Yea, that's what I thought. It's a shame. Steel Host is up to date with the rules, especially Pask and orders, so the Armoured Battlegroup isn't really that attractive to use instead..
