Hey all,

I have two questions for those who might know. Firstly, what scale is KoW in? Secondly, can I use Pike & Shotte minis for a Kingdoms of Men army based around guns?

Thanks in advance!

It's scale agnostic. Since the base sizes are what determine what the strength of your unit is (Troop, Regiment, Horde, Legion), you can put as many/as few miniatures on them as you want, in whatever scale.

And yes, definitely. The KoM list has Pike, Heavy Pike, Arquebus, and Mounted Scouts that can take pistols and carbines for all your Pike and Shotte goodness.

Well it's 28mm game if you want to put things into scale like that.

Rough recommendation for starter games? I've heard about 1000pts, but I'm not sure. I'm trying to interest people in it.

The rulebook suggests playing at 750 with no restrictions on how many Troops choices you can take (normally you need a Regiment to get 2 Troops and either a Hero/Monster/Warmachine).
