Heya, I was considering attaching an Inquisitor to my Templars to give them some fluffy help, and one of the powers I was considering using was Psychic Communion, as Inquisitors can chose that power over BRB powers.
The problem is that what with the psychic phase occurring after movement, is it even possible to use it?

"Psychic Communion is a Blessing that is used at the start of the Movement phase before
any Reserve rolls are made. If successful, you can modify any Reserve roll result by +1 or
-1 (choose after each dice roll is made). This power is cumulative with any other modifiers
to Reserve rolls, including other Psychic Communion powers."

The idea is to have a unit of Legion of The Damned come in early in the game to get in someone's face, and do it reliably. Whilst adding a Warp Charge to negate enemy powers.
And speaking of negating powers, does the BT chapter tactics that gives a +1 to Deny The Witch only apply if a power is targeting them, and does it allow the Inquisitor's warp charge to DTW on a 5+ too?

Only if targeting to unit

It's a blessing, so casting it turn 1 will still affect turn two reserve rolls

Where is this 'Psychic Communion' power found? I can't seem to find it in my Codex: Inquisition. Is this from the 5th edition Codex: Grey Knights?

Selym, I suspect you need to update your codex - in 6th edition when the Inq codex was written, there was no psychic phase, and powers were cast when they said they were cast. The digital codexes get updated rather than FAQ'd.

Yeah iirc the most recent update of the =][= dex doesn't have the unique powers, so you have to use the BRB ones.

It's between the Dark Excommunication and Psychic Barrage Powers. Unless there was a 7th edition version of this dex.

Guess that solves that problem then.

But still, does the BT +1 to DTW affect the inquisitor's warp charge fr denying powers?

Depends on a few things:
For Denying Blessings and Conjurations - no, you still need 6's.
For Denying Witchfires and Maledictions - only if the Inquisitor has joined a Black Templar unit, and only if that unit is the target of the power. Note that the bonus from Adamantium Will stacks with the +1 bonus for being a Psyker, meaning a DtW of 4+'s.

Ah, cool. That'll be handy if I face more psykers.
