I've played Armada since it was released earlier this year but it's always just been casual games, mainly because X-Wing takes up a majority of my game time. However, earlier this month, a friend of mine started a local Armada league (the second one in the NoVA region) and I joined up because I wanted to get into play a lot more. My first game is this week and I think I've narrowed it down to two lists that I think will be interesting:
Assault Frigate Mark II B (72) - General Dodonna (20) - Raymus Antilles (7) - Electronic Countermeasures (7)
• Total : 106
Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) - Veteran Captain (3) - Salvation (7)
• Total : 61
Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57) - XI7 Turbolasers (6) - Yavaris (5)
• Total : 68
B-wing Squadron (14)
B-wing Squadron (14)
Tycho Celchu A-wing Squadron (16)
A-wing Squadron (11)
Y-wing Squadron - Y-wing (10)
Objectives:
Opening Salvo
Fleet Ambush
Dangerous Territory
• Total List: 300
I like this list because of the inclusion of bombers, specifically B-wings as they don't seem to get a lot of table time. However, it also can pack a little more a punch from the capital ships that a straight bomber escort fleet.
Assault Frigate Mark II B (72) - General Dodonna (20) - Intel Officer (7) - Advanced Projectors (6) - H9 Turbolasers (8) - Paragon (5)
Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) - Raymus Antilles (7) - XI7 Turbolasers (6) - Salvation (7)
Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) - Intel Officer (7)
CR90 Corellian Corvette B (39) - Veteran Captain (3) - Leading Shots (4) - Dodonna's Pride (6)
Objectives:
Advanced Gunnery
Fleet Ambush
Dangerous Territory
• Total List: 299
This list is more tuned to jousting but can maneuver pretty well. I'm not entirely sold on the idea that it has no squadrons, but I understand that this list doesn't need the squadrons to be successful.
What kind of Rebel lists have you guys been playing? I'm also open to comments and suggestions about these two lists, so feel free to add them!
