Evening, Dakkavians.

In the course of expanding my CSM force, I'm adding a Dark Apostle. Seeing as I like Zealot, but dislike the Dark Apostle model, I'm kitbashing one based on the Valkia the Bloody model, a daemonette head, and a few bitz from the box.

Herein lies the problem: There are wing slots on Valkia's back (which I won't be using), and the power armor backpack looks preposterously large on such a slender model. So I'm tossing it to the online community, to see if anyone has any ideas for something to cover the model's back?

Skull racks of some sort? I think the shape of the model needs something coming up over her shoulders.

Curved/arched blades (think tyranid claws)? Maybe some tentacles?

You could try a Sisters of Battle backpack? They'd less hefty than the Marine ones.

- Litany papers
- Armour from another kit

There's a bit that comes with chaos vehicles that is meant to cover hatches with a bunch of spikes. It looks like a half circle with spikes sticking out of it.

Maybe use some chunks of that with a little green stuff to make it look like some sort of backpack or machinery? Could throw in some skulls hanging off chains or something like that also.

The Back Trophy racks/Blades Would work Well.
