What would be the best deployment of heavy weapon teams...

Should they be put in infantry squads?
Should they be taken as entire heavy weapon squads?
Are they worth putting in command squads at all?

Please, share your experience with a newbie.

Always put them in veteran or normal guard teams. They are over priced in a team of 3. Plus putting them in a veteran team grants them a crucial extra point of BS. A common run I do is a veteran team with an auto cannon and another with a lascannon.

Pretty much what he said.. put them in Infantry Squads so that they can soak up ablative wounds.... i always go for Autocannon (typically match with Grenade Launcher) -- save the one-shot stuff for your Vets with BS 4
