I am soon to glue a couple of things outside my past experience and was hoping for some advice on what to use.

Firstly, I am going to glue some small, metal fishing sinkers into the bases on my Hormagants (they keep falling forward). I need to glue metal to plastic; likely a fairly small surface area (very small sinkers).

Secondly, I have Forge World resin arms coming for a plastic Hive Tyrant. I need to glue resin to plastic, though there should be plenty of surface area (the ball socket at the shoulder).

What kind of glue would be most appropriate for these two tasks?

Officio Assassinorum, 570pts
Hive Fleet Viracocha, 3,673pts

For the weights, epoxy. Little heavier duty than superglue for something that will be handled, impacted, etc.

For the resin, pin and superglue. Superglue can be soaked away by cleaning products if you ever need to strip or repair. Epoxy cannot.

Simple rules.

- When gluing polystyrene plastic to polystyrene plastic, use plastic cement.

- For all other combinations, use superglue.

- For large models such as FW titans, use two-part epoxy.

Things never to use.

- Greenstuff. It's sculpting/filer, not glue.

- Glue gun glue. It's melted plastic but not polystyrene. It's terrible for models and best left to commercial useage.

- Any sort of resin used in casting.
