So a friend at the FLGS just gifted me 10 x DW Terminators, 5 x Command Squad, 5 x DW Knights, and Belial. I want to try running a fun list of a DW Strike Force with my Grey Knights Nemesis Strike Force for a Turn 1 + Turn 2 deepstrike party. I was thinking of having a 5 man Command Squad with Apothecary and Champion as well as a 5 man DW Knight Squad. Which squad do I put Belial in? Do I keep his sword or give him the TH/SS? Also if you have any advice on the loadout for the Command Squad, I'd love to hear it! I'm quite new to playing Dark Angels...as in today.

Take atleast a minimum ravenwing attack squad formation so you can choose to automatically arrive (or not arrive) any of your deathwing starting turn 2. Also I think it has the benefit of arriving without scatter 12" from the attack squad (formation rule).

I like taking Belial with TH/SS and putting with the DW Knights (Knight Masters weapon is now fleshbane which is an awesome improvement). That way they can deepstrike right in the middle of the enemy army without scattering.

Halberd on champion in command squad is pretty good, but not sure if apothecary is worth it for FNP to lose a powerfist.

With the DW Terminators always take 1 or 2 TH/SS to tank for the rest of the unit.

One neat trick you can do with 10 man squad is give them 2 cyclone missile launcher and combat squad the launchers into one group and put on a backfield objective (and now they can run and shoot the turn they land so pretty good chance of landing on an objective).

Now one thing you might want to think about is adding 2 deathwing lvl 2 librarians...the new DA psycic powers are amazing at offense and with all the extra charge points from your grey knights this could be amazing.

The primaris alone (mind worm) is str 6 ap 2 focused witchfire that does PERMANENT -3 I, WS, BS, LD if it wounds.

Negatory, Deathwing don't have the Combat Squads special rule. Split Fire also only every allows one model to shoot at a different target, so I normally only put a single CML in a unit (with the other being an Assault Cannon, to fire into the main target).

For Grey Knights + Deathwing, I'd look at what DW can give you that the GK don't already. Unfortunately I don't know GK hardly at all, so I can't offer much on that front.

ENTIRELY worth it. Terminators aren't very durable for the points in the first place, so a second chance to live is entirely needed.

I've been wanting to try a little combo for awhile and that's running Brother Stern with my DW Knights. Guaranteed hammer hand and sanctuary on those guys just sounds amazing.

Thanks for all the advice so far guys. Wait...Brother Captain Stern can cast both Hammerhand and Sanctuary on the unit...so would that give them a 2+ invuln?!
