Yes they can be blinded. The blind rule says it doesn't affect non walker vehicles which implies walkers can be affected. There is no exception in the super heavy walker section so it affects them too.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Nice. I wonder how a fully kitted out seercouncil does in combat with a knight. I guess Baharoth has a 1/3 chance of blinding the knight. But the main thing is: can the Armourbane kill the knight before stomp...

Is this a rules question or is it hypothetical mathammer? Armourbane doesn't cause the wielder to strike at I1, so the Council definitely attack before Stomp goes off.

As to the mathammer: A Knight has 6 hull points, and a S3 Witchblade / Singing Spear needs at least a 10 to damage it {4+6, 6+4, double 5, 5+6, 6+5, 6+6 = six chances out of thirty six} = 1 hull point for each 6 Witchblade hits. Each Warlock / Farseer gets 3 attacks (1 base, +1 for 2 CCW's, +1 for charging) - a Farseer will hit on a 3+ regardless of blind, Warlocks on a 4+ (3+ if Knight is blinded).

So assuming two farseers, 4 hits = 0.666666 hull points. This means you need twenty-one and-a-third Warlocks to on average take out a full HP Knight that hasn't been blinded.

Obviously you can improve things with Blind, Prescience, Enhance, Empower, Hammerhand or Doom (at which point the math becomes beyond my ability to keep up with).

Since we are talking about Blind and Walkers, I got a question:

Gargoyles:
Blinding venom
In close combat, a model with this biomorph can exchange all of its normal Attacks to make a single blinding venom attack, which uses the following profile:
S3, Poisoned(6+), Blind, Melee.

Blind
Any unit hit by a model or weapon with this special rule must immediately take an Initiative test(...)

So, Gargoyle Brood can attack with the Poisoned attack and hit the Walker (wont do any Hull Dmg, since poisoned doesn't affect vehicles) But does it still can be blinded? since the Blind Rule specifies "Hit" not "wound"

I'm pretty sure that blind says at the end of the phase take an init check.
