Hey guys I have a 2500pt game coming up against a guys who plays elven legions using end times rules. I'm scared to death he will bring Malekith the eternity king. How would you kill this guy? I am playing empire.

He can kill karl franz ascendant in cc, ignores multiple wounds, and has a 2+ save against all non magical attacks. It seem like he would just be an auto win if he brought it?

Any help would be appreciated as well as any advice in dealing with dark elves/high elves in general

Malekith is the most OP model in End Times, easily beating out Tyrion and the other Incarnates the top spot. I would argue he is better then Nagash, however Nagash can summon an army in a turn, so either a model that can make or another that can break an army, your choice.

On killing Malekith? You've got yourself a really tough job. Lets see, you need to be able to wound T6 with magical attacks and enough volume of shots to get around the fact he is immune to multiple wounds. With Empire. That leaves me with....Magic buffed Hellblasters? Flaming Blades wound let it wound on 4's, ignoring his armour and invulnerable save. But you won't kill him with just one, but then again, nothing can.

I'm not to familiar with Empire, but there is something that lets you swap states with an enemy character? That could be interesting, although Malekith would still win due to Magical Weapons. Perhaps a suitably large light council could work to push through lots of wounds, as a High Strength Banishment will ignore his ward and wound easily, but you probably won't get it off twice. Other then that, i'm stumped.
