I'm just throwing out these ideas for buffing the under-used Annihilation Nexus. I realize that people often neglect it due to the overpriced Anni Barges, the somewhat underwhelming doomsday ark, and the presence of better decurion auxiliaries, but I thought some new special rules might make this formation more viable.

1. Amalgamated Targeting Data
The doomsday ark gains +1 ballistic skill for each Annihilation Barge in the same formation within six inches of it.
Comments: This rule is very similar to the rule of the same name in the death bringer flight, except the barges don't have to fire at the same target, or even fire at all.

2. Energy Reconfiguration
At the beginning of a players movement phase, the controlling player can nominate an Annihilation Barge within 6 inches of the doomsday ark in the same formation. That Annihilation barge immediately suffers a crew stunned effect, but does not lose a hull point. In exchange, the doomsday ark can move at combat speed and still fire as if it had not moved.
Comments: Like the previous rule, this rule promotes keeping the barges close to the arks, which I believe was GW's intention when they created the formation. This rule also allows you to avoid what I think is the doomsday ark's most restrictive feature: the inability to move and fire at full power.

Please tell me what you think below! Should one or both of these rules be implemented, does the formation need something else to make it useful, or do you think the formation is fine as it is?

honestly, just give the moving profile Large Blast and I think it would be otherwise fine as is.

I like the sound of a moving full-power cannon, but then it turns into an almost-Typhon-level cannon for a fraction of the cost, which people wouldnt really appreciate
