Unique chance to get the collected art of Trudvang with master artists such as Paul Bonner, Justin Sweet, Alvaro Tapia and more.

RiotMinds’s fantasy setting Trudvang has become a cult classic in the almost 15 years since the first book was released. The illustrations and artwork has earned a special reputation and a great following. We’ve developed a setting based on the traditional Scandinavian and Celtic sagas, legends and myths. It’s a truly unique fantasy world inspired by the very source of story telling, such as Beowulf, the Icelandic tales, the Finnish epos Kalevala, and also true art masters such as John Bauer and Akseli Gallen-Kallela.

Click through for more pics and info about their games.

I'm not familiar with the game/setting, although i think I've seen some of the dwarf artwork here and there over the years.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Pity it's only 16 days or I'd have backed it . I'm a big fan of those types of trolls

Never. Reminds me of the Troll Park in Norway.

Trudvang really is the coolest rpg setting ever. Deep Swedish forests and mythological creatures, doesn't get any better than that!

Nope. But I sent them a pm. Via ks they aren't taking additional backing after the KS

I will buy your copy later, RiTides. 50$ is a little pricey for an art book for me. But knowing of their product line, I will be looking for other products as well! They look really great.

Four days to go. They need 40,000 SEK to hurdle one more stretch goal (extra pages and content*) and they've been drawing in 10,000 SEK per day for the last few days. So they might scrape by, but here's a bump to get a few more eyes looking.

*That might also mitigate some concerns about the overall price of the thing. Putting your money down will make it better value, so c'mon!

Personally, I agree with Mymerean. I haven't directly seen or read much about Trudvang, but I've seen bits and pieces of Paul Bonner's trolls over the last few years and heard a lot of gushing over the art. Just from what I can see on this Kickstarter page, it's pretty much justified. Heck, I pledged just for the trolls.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

40 hours to go, and they've sailed past the extra content stretch goal. (120 pages bumped up to 192+) Looks like it wasn't as much of a struggle as I though it'd be. It's in a better place to pledge on now, if you've been hmming and haaing about it.

Relating to this, the company are currently running a KS for an English translation of the RPG

29 days to go and well on their way already.

Trudvang Chronicles is an award-winning fantasy roleplaying game based on the mysterious and dark Nordic and Celtic sagas and myths. Enter a world of enchanted forests, trolls, dragons, spirits of nature, heroes and adventures. Trudvang is both grim and dark, epic and yet down to earth, with a melancholic tone of an ancient age when nature was a living creature and magic was wild and strong. Above all, Trudvang is a saga...

There's more art and info through the link.

..how odd ..?!

KS is funded in less than 48 hours, and well on their way to the first stretch goal.

also :

Many have asked about pdf:s as a complement to the books. So, here we go, all backers from Adventurer and above will get PDF:s of the books! Not sure exactly how and when they will be delivered but stay tuned for more info about this later in the campaign.

I really want to back this for the full price as the value is insane, but I'd really love to sample some of this before pulling the trigger.
Does anyone know of some place to purchase any of this in English? Like any of the previous stuff?

And you are hiding the fact you backed it from your wife?

Backed this one as yes, the value seems to be quite good!

I love the setting - Mabinogion, Beowulf, with Dwarves and Elves too?

Awesome!
