Right,

I've some ghouls I have painted for a DnD game I am hosting:

But I would like to get some monster number flags made up, to make fighting a bit easier and seeing whos go it is next. The idea is to have a set of say 10 flags with 1 to 10 numbered on them that I can attach magnets to at the base whilst also getting a magnet in the base of each monster. I then just pop a flag on each monster so I can keep track of things.

So my question... Where to get anything like this from? I've got the magnets, some tiny ones, but not sure where to get empty flags from.

Cheers,

Grady

Why not just use strong magnets in the base of the models and use nails as flagpoles.
You should be able to get nails with a flat head the right kind of size.
Just file off the tip of the nail, make a paper/card flag at that end and hey presto.

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.
Oli: But it fits through the doors, Look!

Ah, that'd work well!

Excellent idea indeed.

came to say nails - have cleary been beaten to the punch!

One note - when you go nail shopping, take a magnet to ensure you get ones that stick. Don't do what I did once and buy a nice big bag of non-ferrous metal bits for a magnet job.

Drill a small hole in the base and just slot a wire-based flag in?

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"
