I do Tzeentch themed CSM, so it's logical that I should run my Bikers un-marked as they get a Jink save. So, what would be a good loadout for vanilla Chaos Bikes? I'm currently thinking a Melta with Powerfist for tank hunting.

I run Nurgle Bikers and... can't say anything positive about them. I suppose they soak up all my opponents firepower, but that means jink ing and high Str. weapons that care not about T6 on a one wound model. Plus, when i do opt to jink, the Meltas I purchased just got wasted.
Khorne daemonkin bikes could work. Regular CSM ones not so much. We don't get all the add on benefits that other Armies bikes get. No reroll jinks, no chapter tactics, no grav weapons, no increased turbo boost, no skilled rider...
Even Ork bikers get Armor, Twin liked dakkaguns and a turbo boost benefit for their bikes. Chaos just get expensive marks.
Let's just say that I've had better luck and won more Maelstrom points from min sized Raptor units, than Nurgle Bikers.

The one thing CSM bikes has is cheapness. You can run MSU and go with 2x meltas so hope to suck up some fire with a cheap mobile unit.
I have tried Nurgle bikes as well, and had some great runs with a lucky champion with a powerfist, who stood up against and killed 4 Space Wolf termies, as they failed to roll a 6 on their power swords.
I usually run 2 x 6 Slaanesh bikes, with Icon of Excess and 2 plasma guns. Used with a lord/sorc on Slaaneshsteed for Outflank makes for fun flanking maneuvers.
Though Spawns are better in most cases, it might be fun to field something else than Spawns, so try the bikes in MSU-format:
3 bikes, 2 meltas and meltabombs om champ: 95p

I have had good fun running an unmarked chaos sorcerer with biomancy in a group of bikes, some of the spells make the bikes absolutely brilliant.
The problem is, spawn are often better. Especially if you want a unit to run your Lord in.

Hmm interesting, I usually go with Telepathy there (Shrouding/Invisibility), but Biomancy might be nice. Please elaborate!

Well basically your gunning for Endurance (4+ fnp T6 bikers) and then iron arm or warp speed. Combined with the fact that the sorcerer comes with a force weapon anyway, it makes the force sword a very good option. I'd say away from giving him a force axe, because then you miss out on the benefits of warp speed.
But it also works on spawn too.

Nice! I have to try that. Endurance on Spawns is common in my lists, but havent tried it on Nurgel bikers.

Force Staff is the best option for +2 strength. If you have Iron Arm then your attacks become AP2 anyway.

Partly! SMash gives ap2, but then you only get 1 attack.

Common mistake.
It makes all your attacks AP2.
It then gives you the option to have a single tank busting attack.

Haven't got the rulebook to hand.
But the special rule is in two parts. Models with smash are AP2. In addition, they make exchange all their attacks for a single attack at double strength. Or something like that.
Its what makes daemon prices with the black mace such melee monsters. The smash rule makes their mace AP2.

What welshhoppo said. Never did think about biomancy on a bike sorcerer. not bad, not bad... Of course ML 3 sorc on bike + spell familiar + sigil + possibly mark would go up the points fast. But then you can go the extra mile, add a chaos lord with clawfist in the same unit, give clawfist to the champion also and a boon of mutation to all of them and ride baby ride! approx. 500 pts worth of ride but ride nonetheless!

Aha, I thought that all MC had ap2, as stated in the rules concerning MC. And that Smash only gave s10, 1 attack.

Noooo, it's a silly rule but MC don't actually have any rules to make them hit at AP 2 like the old days.
It is the smash rule that does that. Which all of them have. Automatically Appended Next Post: And a level 3 spell familiar sorcerer on a bike with a sigil is 170 pts, not that much more than a Lord would be.

Yeah, Ork Bikes are the best unit in the codex. At 18 points they're awesome extra Dakka and wounds for the real star, the Power Klaw toting BikerBoss. Would thinking of Choas Bikers the same way work for you Spikey Boyz?
