The Castellan Rowboats are a tough breed, so I feel I have to share a tactic I used to melt them to puddles. A rather obvious one, but I thought I might share it with anyone here who feels the need to kill the robots dead, high-fiving the opponent in glee.

As CSM player, here is what I did.
2 sorcs on bikes, went Telepathy. Cast Terrify, which lowered their LD to 6. Cast Psychic Shriek on them, and pray to the Ruinous Powers for a good roll, and to not miss the to-hit at BS4. After 2 rounds of spelling, I had killed 4 robots dead, and charged the Tech Priest, who got smacked down.

Vengeance was mine muhahaha.

Even better if your meta plays the 'does not need a roll to hit' for psychic shriek (but that's a discussion for an age old thread).
Be'lakor can also guarentee the terrify. But 2 sorcs mean 2 psy shrieks.
I'd imagine a Juggerlord or DP with AoBF would also make short work of them as long as there is something else in the combat to take the wounds.

We have to roll to hit on it in my meta, but we use majority LD (7 on the robots, opposed to 9 on the Tech Priest).

Repeatable with any low-point cost swarm, preferably fearless.

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

Yes, in the past I have tossed summoned daemons in their path, which works great.

But it felt nice to kill them dead. I even went over them with my biker sorc after that, making vroom vroom-noises. Like a kid.

High-strength low AP weapons (plasma, lascannons) should be decent options for killing them at range. The only problem is cover and the Derpbots having Feel No Pain. Melee is still probably the best way to deal with them.

Darn. Forgot about that. Those things are almost as indestructible as a Riptide with FnP.

At least they have a low Initiative and are vulnerable to massed grav and plasma.

I'd say grav. Plasma only wounds them on 4's.
