Pretty powerful for a shuttle. If only Cargo Hold wasn't Ferengi specific it... then again it is a Ferengi shuttle that allows you avoid penalties. I feel like there will be some shuttle docking shenanigan builds with this.

Rom is sweeeeet.

Disappointed in Zek and Nog, although the Grand Nagus ability is good on Zek.

That inversion wave tho... holy moly do I like that inversion wave.

Interested to see what Balders says, him often running the magnificent Ferengi as a fleet.

Rom is kind of awesome... Not great action economy, but useful.

All told, this is a fine addition to the Ferengi faction.

I agree though, Nog and Zek are kind of disappointing. I can justify Nog as long as we get a Federation Nog that comes with the Valiant with a better ability.

Zek kind of bites.

BUT, that smuggler Upgrade and Odo are both very nice.

There are some cool things here. I think I may but two just for Cargo Hold. My Ferengi fleet has been crying for a card like Rom, he will be an auto include from now on . I am thinking crew Quark is better than Captain Quark. Grand Nagus is cool though I whish it was more like the 1st Maje, but the fact that it is only useful to Ferengi ships is great as far as I'm concerned.

The ship itself is going to lead to some cool things with docking and undocking. I would look for this to be in a lot of the uber cheese builds.

I do agree with others that Nog and Zek are a little disappointing. Zek's ability is good but it is a shame that he doesn't boost captain skill. He really should because all of the Ferengi hope to it when he is around.

Brunt is pretty cool and I love how he works with Grand Nagus, very thematic.

Inversion Wave is going to lead to some interesting possibilities. Smugglers is fun and very Ferengi to me.

Without a doubt Odo is the star of this pack. So many cool things to do with him. Oh this turn I want two Hood Rikers, then this turn I want two Boheeka's. Yeah he is going to be crazy.

Now I just want to throw a Type 8 Phaser on this thing to use as a support vessel hey Ferengi have to try.

I disagree on Nog, him and frenghi EM Pulse on another ship means -4 attack dice and target ship takes a aux token.

True, but it's a one time deal, because nog is a discard.

Nog isn't terrible just disappointing. I was hoping more for something that added slots or something similar to the EMH.

I will probably take him at some point, after all he is a Ferengi crew, but for me I think I would rather spend another point and give another ship an EM Pulse.

You know i was thinking about it today. Rom really beats the pants off O'Brien that comes with the Defiant. Even if he is on a non Ferengi ship he is better.

O'Brein is an action, diable and can't attack for two shields. Then another action to enable and if you want to use him again the whole cycle starts over again.

Rom action fix a shields. Next turn action fix a shield, repeat as needed.

I really hope we get a better O'Brien in the Robinson. The Defiant version is soo bad. The man can "turn rocks into replicators" he should be way better than Rom. Rom was an ok engineer, he kept Quark's holosuits open but that is nothing compared to O'Brien overhauling a station and the Defiant.

Although, Rom was so good at his job he did become O'brian's go to guy for station repairs. Rom was also smarter than he looked when he asked him why he wanted to kill the wormhole aliens.

Not to mention that it was Rom who developed the Federation cloaked mines that defended the wormhole from the Dominion... He wasn't an idiot, but O'Brien is supposed to be an amazing engineer, and he got clipped.

A lot of stuff doesn't work the way it should, mostly because Wizkids tends to look at what is in front of them with no regard to the past.

Example: Tom Paris is a 4 point chard that adds +1 attack die each time you defend. Hikaru Sulu, for 3 points and an action, adds +2 defense dice every attack AND you convert 1 BS into and Evade. William Riker, 3 points adds +1 defense die every time you defend, and turns 1 BS into and evade, and if your captain is disabled, he doubles that... for no action.

These guys should both have been a 5 point upgrade, easy, especially if Paris is 4 points for JUST a +1...

Rom only thought up the idea of "self replication", it was the O'Brien who actually built and programmed the mines.

I think Paris and Sulu are appropriately costed. Riker should have been 4 points. One of my favorite examples for upgrade comparison is Scotty and Romulan officer. Scotty is 5 points an action for either +2 attack or repair a shield. Romulan Officer is 5 points, discard, must be cloaked, no defense dice for +2 attacks. Romulan officer is ridiculously bad by comparison.

I mean this respectfully, but I for the life of me can not come up with a kinder way of phrasing it:

What makes you think that Sulu is properly priced? I mean, sure, he costs an action, but there is no way that that makes him cost LESS than Paris.

3 points is generous for Sulu but not too far out there. He does cost an action. Unless you are using Picard/Spock/Dukat with him you are committing a lot to him. He doesn't work if you force a bump, or with an Aux token. I don't mind Sulu as much as Riker and Paris because they always work regardless of action economy. 4 points would have been more appropriate for him but I don't think 3 is outrageous.

The bigger issue I have is McCoy being 3 points for a discard, 2pts max. 3 points would have been ok if he was a disable but 3 is a little much. I still try to work him in from time to time, gotta keep the family together

Though McCoy goes right back to what we were talking about before that there is no points system what so ever for upgrades. There is a system for Captains, though rather tilted sometimes. The system for ships is way too ridged. Admirals fall in with captains, but upgrades is a mixed bag of great for the cost (Sulu/Riker) and absolutely horrible (Romulan Officer/Navigational Deflector).

One thing that I think is funny is that fed players will pay 4 points for Paris and some players will pay 5 for him out of factions, but nobody uses Amat'Igan from the Battle Cruiser. He is 3 points +1 defense and he protects other crew. I have started using him while practicing with my Breen fleet. If you take the Indy Fleet captain you can take Amat'Igan, Riker, and Paris all in one fleet for pretty cheap. If you put all of them on one ship that is +3 to defense all the time and one free BS conversoin all without taking up an action.

Got this ship even though I'm not at all interested in Ferengi. I had quite a nice surprise reading Odo. A VERY pleasant surprise. 5 points to replicate an any crew upgrade. "Why, hello there Seven of Nine! You are looking quite fetching in that body suit! Mind if I copy you?" LOL

Yeah, I like Odo.

Odo is even better on a Hirogen ship copying Hood Riker on the Fed ship next to him
