Flatcon Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Rules
Flatcon doubles is a team tournament that allows players to mix and match armies, for a fun, low competition play settings.
Flatcon doubles is for any Warhammer 40,000 player who wants to come out and play alongside a friend, roll some dice, and have a good time.
Army organization
Each team will be composed of two players.
Each player is allowed to bring three detachments, as defined in the core rule book totaling out to no more than 1250 points. Centurion/Warhost/Gladius style detachments are counted as a single detachment.
Each detachment brough by a given player is Unique to that player, and cannot be duplicated by that player. This means that each player could bring one Combined Arms Detachment, and one Allied Detachment, but a single player could not field two Combined Arms detachments.
Core Rulebook detachments (Combined Arms Detachment and Allied Detachment), along with Formations and Codex specific attachments are all allowed.
Dataslates are allowed, counting as a detachment as normal.
Fortifications are Unique and may not be duplicated by a single player. Fortification Formations, such as the Void Relay network or other multi-component, are prohibited.
Each team is allowed 625 points worth of Lords of War, shared between each member of the team. All units with the Lords of War battlefield role are Unique across the team, and cannot be duplicated. For example, a team of Ultramarines and Blood Angels could take both Dante and Marneus Calgar. An Eldar/Eldar team could take a Lynx and a Wraithknight, but not two Wraithknights. Alternatively, a single player on a team could take a Legion Glaive, and the other team member no Lord of War option. Players may take multiple lords of war subject to the rules above.
