I'm going to the UK GT final this year (I qualify in October) and I want to win. Preferably by a landslide. I'm of 2 minds one is take a list from an unfancied codex or using unfancied units (Stealer Shame) and winning despite that (though I'd have to out play some of the best players with lusts stronger than mine). The other idea is this and try to create as large a margin of victory as possible, the second option means I've still a chance at the trophy even if I'm not as good as I think I am. This list deals well with the inevitable Wraithknight spam I expect to see dominate the field whilst also giving me something that can survive a Gravhammer Alphastrike. Here goes

Isn't the problem with this the same as Necron flier lists? None of your fliers can hover. Since the GT is Eternal War, you need to tabke your opponent if they can kill your very minimal ground troops. Wolfstar would make a bit of a mess of this list.

I think Hemlocks are only worth it if they gel with the rest of your army (ie leadership shenanigans, warp dice being beneficial etc...)

Can't hover but have Vector Dancer so you get far more firepower out of them compared to Cronair.

I think I can run away from Wolfstar pretty effectively and Psychic Shriek hurts them bad and if they don't have invisibility the D Scythes will likewise hurt them badly. I think I can table Wolfstar.

Wraithfighters are great against the Wraithknight and Imperial Knight spam near guaranteed to be there. Yes I do wish it was proper 7th Ed rather than gunline&deathstar edition they had gone for. But that's par for the course when most TOs are clueless about the game.

Is there a danger of you getting alpha struck tabled before your fliers come on? I guess you jink all your bikes, and are only at risk from things that can throw down lots of ignores cover turn 1. Not sure if there is much in the meta that will.

Hence why I have a Warlock in a Bunker. There are lots of targets (8 separate units) and some that not everyone can deal with (the Bunker).

When are you running this list the GT heats? And which one? Or the GT final?

Also out of curiosity which heat are you going to?

This will be for the final most likely (unless something else takes my fancy between now and then, their ludicrous decision to use EW missions means running a left field list just won't be viable). I'm going to Heat 2 with a ThunderKnightstar.

From past experience of trying to plan a list in advance, you'll use something of the complete opposite.
