Subject: [35] - Gatormen - Barnabas list

So i want to get into hordes and have decided to make myself a Gatormen list. This is what my current list is looking like:
Bloody Barnabas (-6)
Wrassler (9)
Bull Snapper (3)
x2 Gatormen Posses (9 each)*
Croak Raiders (8)
Witch Doctor (3)
I'm starting off with at 35 points, though Eventually I want to branch out into a 50pt list that adds these models:
Swamp Horror (8)*
Thrullg (3)*
Totem Hunter (3)*
Swamp Gobbers (1)*
Basically, while i'll be using it for casual gaming, i'm trying to make something that a good player could hold his own with at a tournament. Not necessarily optimal (since that would mean getting models i'm not a big fan of), but at the very least somewhat viable. I'm down for replacing pretty much all of the models except for Barnabas, one posse and the raiders, primarily because I've already purchased those.
Any recommendations?
*EDIT: changed the list a tad, swapping the Horror/Gobbers with one of the posses, as well as replacing the Thrullg and Totem hunter with a bokor & Shamblers.

Your 35pts is relatively solid, however not having a third beast CAN hinder you considerably...
At 50pts instead of Thrullg and Totem Hunter take either Bog Trog Shamblers or min Ambushers, the former would go very nicely as a different assassination route than the only real viable one which is the Blackhide, you also don't need a bellows crew in a Barny list, though they're always fun

Cygnar (133) | 82% painted - Menoth (65) | 92% painted
Mercenaries (52) | 53% painted - Circle Orboros (42) | 92% painted - Minions (20) | 0% painted
Systems I play : Warmachine, Hordes, Star Wars X-Wing, Star Trek Attack Wing, Malifaux & Bolt Action.

Sounds good! I could potentially swap out the raiders for the swamp horror and get three beasts at 35pts, though i'm wondering if the lack of ranged damage would hinder me on the smaller scale.
As for the 50pt scale, I'll probably take the shamblers. The synergy they have with the doctor sounds more logical to me (also not a fan of bog trogs, so i'd rather get the version led by a gatorman)
edit: also, should I replace the gobbers with something else? or maybe take them out and replace the horror with another wrastler?

With barney you don't need to worry about hitting with range so much, two swamp pits are enough to walk up to someonea front door and be annoying.
The high armour & average defence of Gatormen also aid against most models having relatively low rat/power.
Tbf, having the Gobbers will probably be more beneficial than a feralgeist.

I would definitely keep in the Croak Raiders, they're insane with Barnabas from everything I've seen!
I really like your 35 point list as-is. Might steal it . That seems like a really great place to start, imo!
For 50 points, if you have a point left over I'd go with a Feralgeist instead of the gobbers - this could be really useful as a target to throw Barnabas at with your Wrastler if you need to get him up the field, or to throw your Wrastler at with the Swamp Horror (using Rise to stand up the thrown model in either case).

Wrastler bomb is never a good idea, it's funny but seriously not reliable

I'd like to say thanks to the both of you. I've tweaked my list slightly (will edit in the OP) 35 Barnabas (-6) Wrassler (9) Bull Snapper (3) Swamp Horror (8) Gatormen Posse (9) Croak Raiders (8) Witch Doctor (3) Swamp Gobbers (1) 50 + Bokor & Shamblers (6) +Gatormen Posse (9) Essentially swapping out the posse for the horror/gobbers and adding the shamblers instead of the thrullg and hunter. Could maybe replace the horror and the gobbers for another wrastler (since the horror doesn't have that great a role in the army now that I think about it, in addition to the gobbers as tiger pointed out). Or even just keep the list exactly as is save for adding in shamblers instead of the two solos

I think you've got your staples in there:
-Wrastler
-Snapper
-Raiders (or 2!)
-Posse (or 2)
-Witch Doc
I think having the Thrullg and Totem Hunter on-hand, even if you don't have them in the list right now, is good for options. And another Witch Doc could be useful.
On the PP Minions forum, most Barnabas lists now are sporting 2 units of Croak Raiders (and possibly a pair of Witch Docs to back them up). You don't have to add the third beast at 50 points, particularly in 2-list formats (which most events are!) where you could run Rask as your second list, and he'll eat high ARM for breakfast. Gators real strength is in their units (Croak Raiders and Posse) not their beasts. So while I personally am leaning towards running him with 3 beasts at 50 (Wrastler, Spitter, Snapper) you could just run your Wrastler and Snapper.
I quite like your 35-point list from the OP. I would be interested in seeing it with 2x Raiders instead of 2x Posse, but as-is I think it could do great. Then you can figure out what to add to get to 50 (or pick up several things to have options, but what you really want to run in the end based on your experience at 35 points with the list).
I definitely don't think you need the 3rd beast at 35 points, though - I would rather see the second Posse or second Raiders there, instead.

Aight, that sounds good. I do like the feel of having 3 warbeasts, so I' too want to try and stick with that. I'll see about tweaking the 50pt list and try to get in a second unit of croak raiders if at all possible
EDIT: Currently my only solution is to simply have two separate army lists, my 35pt list you see in the OP, followed by a tweaked 50pt list that eschews the blackhide for another 8pt warbeast
