Hey guys having realised that I have all the models required for the Hell Guard I'm wondering is it worth running it Nurglefied of course. Btw this isn't for a tournament just for casual pick up games

Stubborn is the bonus special rule isn't it? I don't know how the required units for that detachment can be made into a competitive list.

Let's look at the hellguard
The formation is specifically a Chaos Lord, a unit of Chosen, a unit of Terminators, a unit of Raptors, a Land Raider, a Helbrute, and two units of Chaos Cultists. For taking this formation, the units gain the Fear and Stubborn Special Rules. Additionally they have a rule, Swarm of Phantasms, which forces enemy units within 12″ of a unit to suffer -1 to their leadership. If two or more units from the formation are within 12″, the enemy unit also suffers -1 to their Ballistic Skill.

A lot of sub par units there. A decent bonus, but trading off objective secured and unit flexibility.

I think it would work well allied with a gorepack, rush with everything. Maybe get a dreadclaw for the chosen.

With a jugger Lord scouting with hounds and a dreadclaw you could get the two units within 12 T1. Then the rest can be in position turn 2

Are those units the minimum required in a CAD, so that you can take an extra helbrute or lord for example, with it still being a bound list?

Nah it's a formation, the units are fixed.

To get more units you would have to take a whole other two troops and hq , to form a cad as a separate detachment. Or one troop and a hq of daemons or daemonkin could be ok.
