Draigo gets Gate Of Infinity and is tough so he can tank wounds.
Librarius conclave fishes for whatever powers you need - most often it's perfect timing.
Attach it to a bunch of centurons and you've got a very tough, mobile and killy unit for > 700 pts.

Competitive GK are running min terminators, max dreadknights and Libby. Other stuff is Draigo + allies. All lists are basically the same with some variations in ally department.

I've been toying with a competitive mono grey knights list. the rough list is:

brother captain w/soul glaive and psilencer
lvl3 librarian
4 squads of purifiers 5man each 2 w/ incinerators 2 w/psycannons rhinos for each squad
termie squad with a psilencer
5man squad of interceptors w/ an incinerator
2 dredknights w/ heavy psycannon and incinerator

comes out to 1850. an earlier variation of this list did very well against my opponent running the skyhammer formation. I put all my rhinos close together, he dropped around them and wasted most of his heavy firepower killing just the rhinos and i made quick work of him in close combat and then cleansing flamed like 2/3rds of his army that had surrounded me the next turn. he eventually got a close win of the game, but I consider it a moral victory for a so called "mid tier codex".

If you wanted to do a mono GK build you can still run a draigo star.

Lvl 3 libby
5 man paladin loaded with 2 psycannons, apothecary, hammers.
This is the minimum and does deal some good damage. Some also throw in a captain with another psycannon.

Then just fill in with min termie squads and dreadknights.

Draigostar is the most competitive build for GK IMO.
