Subject: Chaos Space Marine - Brother Versus Brother

Was just typing up a wishlist for the next Chaos Space Marine codex and I thought of a great rule that would help fix the game SO MUCH!
Chaos Space Marine Faction Special Rules:
Brother Versus Brother - A Space Marine Faction unit in base contact with a model from the Chaos Space Marine Faction loses the And They Shall Know No Fear universal special rule until they are no longer in base contact with that model.
So against Chaos Space Marines, the Space Marines lose one of their most powerful special rules. This means that they can be run down in close combat by Chaos Space Marines, but still regroup if they successfully run away from close combat (as they will no longer be in base contact). Fear will work against Space Marines so long as they're in base contact - which is when Fear works anyways !
The extra-cool thing about this rule is that it works well with allies, and different Space Marine factions still work well in tandem with anti-Chaos stuff! If your ally causes Fear (daemons), they can't beat ATSKNF by themselves, but if they're assaulting alongside Chaos Space Marines you'll get the benefit. Dark Angels, meanwhile, are perfect against Chaos Space Marines still because they keep their Stubborn rule.
What do y'all think?

Space Marines: Jacks of all trades yet masters of GRAV CANNONS!!!.
My Star Wars Imperial Codex Project: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/641831.page
It has 7 HQs, 2 Troop types with Dedicated Transports, 5 Elite units, 5 Fast Attack units, 6 Heavy Support units, 2 Formations with unique units not in the rest of the codex, and 2 LOW choices.

Fluffwise, does it make sense though? Wouldn't the pure hatred the space marines hold for their traitor brethren keep them from running away more so than almost any other foe, and keep them looking over their shoulder if they do retreat? Would it make sense to deny them a tactical retreat from only CSM?
I like the rule, and how it would work, i just feel like it would be strange to watch space marines run away from their closest enemies only and get swept.

I like it gamewise, but it doesn't feel very fluffy.
The CSM codex has numerous issues. It's like GW mixed up the concept - the Codex chews ass and kicks bubblegum.

I feel like it's very fluffy! Sure the Space Marines know no fear, but they are facing the twisted embodiment of their own selves. These are Space Marines they are fighting - ones who could have been Battle Brothers mere months ago as in the case of the Red Corsairs and numerous other Chaos Legions. There are Space Marines that turn traitor. I think it'd be very cool that this is the only army they can get swept by.

its a nice buff and I disagree with others who have said it isn't fluffy. It feels quite fluffy to me, but i still think ATSKNF needs toned down across the board. The only thing that SM need to be unique and remain their own thing is auto- regrouping and sweep- protection. Everything else is a little much and CSM aren't the only ones who deserve that buff

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature. |

I like it a lot but maybe more as a relic's power or warlord trait or elite unit rather than every marine. ATSKNF works against things much much tougher than a basic CSM.
