Small Wyrm of Slaanesh

I have the 7th edition dark vengeance chaos models (including the aspiring champion) and yesterday after playing a small skirmish with a more seasoned player, everyone at my FLGS suggested getting a forgefiend. So my admy now consists of:
2x DV Chaos Lord (an extra was given to me)
10 cultists w/flamer
10 cultists w/heavy stubber and champ w/shotgun
DV Chosen squad
Aspiring Champion (obviously need a squad to stick him in)
DV helbrute
Unassembled forge/maulerfiend
And i really like the idea of a slaanesh army, and noise marines, so i would like to build a slaanesh list eventually. What should my next step be? I have a few regular marines from an old starter kit that i have started converting. I've looked into the DV expansion as well as the attack force and just really not sure where i want to take it. I want to be able to play high point games with at least some chance of winning. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Il give you my 2 cents
First of all Noise marines are great
Stick a 5 man squad with a blast master in a rhino and give the rhino a havoc launcher this squad will annoy people for most of the game
5 man noise marine squads with a doom siren in a rhino is another good one that strength 5 ap 3 template is pretty damn tasty.
While you have a forge/maulerfiend I personally Prefere predators .
Chosen in a rhino with max plasma guns and a combi plasma is pretty decent

Thanks for the quick feedback. The only problem i have with noise marines is the crappy kit that GW sells. I want at least two squads but that would cost me way too much for the kits and a box of marines to put them on. If i want lots of noise i would need to buy so many of those kits. And as far as making some myself, i have never touched greenstuff, and would be afraid to start chopping things up and i would be worried i would mess it all up or just that it wouldn't look right.

Tbf to GW for what you pay the noise marine kits are not bad. You can probably do a decent list without them but at some point you will need to invest in slaanesh daemons as allies.

Yeah I was dinking around on battlescribe with daemon allies but need to read the codex and learn more about the units. I really like the look of the slaanesh daemons. What would a cost efficient (money wise) allied detachment be?

If your issue with Noise Marines is the cost of the kit, you could consider looking for them second-hand.

Don't believe me? It's all in the numbers.

You can find a lot of stuff on ebay and such. If you're hesitant to green stuff, you could always get some cheep marines and practice on them. If not, look around for bits that will get you close enough to the bass cannons, chop and glue. Converting is my favorite part of the hobby, I play mostly nurgle so its more forgiving but you should be okay

Forge World makes Noise Marines called the Kacaphony Squad. I picked up some eBay knockoffs of that squad and they look amazing. Then a secondhand Chaos Marine with a Blastmaster and a Champion with the Warp Amp backpack and my Noise Marine squad is done. Cost about $40 for the squad of seven but I suggest getting official Forge World products. Bit more money but it's just less hassle.

Here's my opinion, scrap the idea of a forgefiend, the maulerfiend is cheaper and marginally better but if you want heavy support, Obliterators or Havocs are a must, never let me down.
Plague Marines are personally my favourite cult elite but Noise Marines have some of the best weapons in the Chaos Codex and get access to feel no pain for a couple of points, Plague Marines are toughness 5 with Feel no Pain for free which is perfect for soaking up puny girly man bolter bullets
Get either 30 more Cultists or 2 Attack Squads (Ebay for a massive discount) just to boost the body count and attack squads get 2 special weapons each, Melta or Plasma is great for tank hunting and armour popping
The Lords are great HQ's but if you can get Kharn the Betrayer do it, absolute nutcase capable of bringing down Imperial Knights like they were Gretchins.
And if you want to sauce your army up abit a squad of terminators are great to have
If you want to just Cheese your way to victory get a pair of Heldrakes
It does depend on your budget. eBay got me a £1100 for £400 and see my list to see what I got if you are budgeting, 30 cultists on ebay, a squad of cult Elites and some Havocs if you are willing to splash out, get what I've listed above (except Heldrakes coz you arent a cheese player are you :p)

I think running heldrakes would be fun but i dont want to autowin just because of them. I personally like the forgefiend as a model it looks really cool and mine is halfway assembled. Wanted to magnetize it but dont want to deal with all that hassle. I have been just thinking about buying the noise marine upgrade kits with a special order discount from the FLGS so it would save me a bit of money. I appreciate all of your advice and cant wait to play some more games.

Heldrakes are good, but they're not an auto win by any means. Not sure Chaos Marines even have one of them, unless you pull a move like bringing a Brass Scorpion to a 1500 point game (like I did last night...)
Disclaimer - it was with my regular opponent, and we had a good laugh. I don't win often...

I just ordered a noise marine upgrade pack and a sonic weapons upgrade pack from my LGS. They gave me a discount for ordering it, so it was pretty cheap. Just need some extra shoulder pads and I will be golden.
I know that CSM aren't very competitive right now but hopefully a new dex will arrive to fix that. But i know the Heldrake is one of our best units and makes things just run away. Maybe I will get one eventually.

I was looking into that item as well. It seems good but not really sure what it should look like. Maybe i will use those gargoyle heads for it? I don't know. I am also thinking about making a biker lord and using my dv lord as a sorceror. Not sure how to make a bike lord either haha.

I think just make it look like a Tzeentchian flamer, so some kind of flamer with those gargoyle heads, as you suggest.
Maybe replace the lower jaw of the gargoyle head with those little ignition pieces from the bottom of the flamer nozzles?

Ohh i like that idea. Im thinking about getting a rhino which should come with the gargoyle piece i need and i have a SM flamer bit i can use. I will try this later on this week and see how it turns out. Might need to chaosify it a bit more. I did some work on a few of my loyalist guys last night, scratched off aquilas and purity seals and added some spikey pads and helmets. Have the workings for a tactical or havoc squad and i can just say that these guys are a recently turned squad so thats why they are only slightly chaosy.
