Do you have any good methods for getting Space Marine shoulder pads off of the arms without damaging them too much?

I usually run my knife around the edges and try to prise them off, but that sometimes bends them a bit, and occasionally doesn't do any good at all.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

A good pair of tweezers and some leverage. But I only put a small amount of superglue on the pads when I assemble so it's not as if I'm trying to break plastic glue. Never go for the edge because that will snap it right in half. Just slowly get some bite under the pad, pinch it and lift. Shape of the tweezers shouldn't damage the surface but I do get some edge nicks trying to get the bottom bit under the lip of the pad.

I got these off of eBay, so I'm not sure what glue was used. I'll give that a go.

Snap them off and replace with new ones. You won't get plastic glued pads off clean.
