Considering starting up a JSA army, was wondering if there were any more experienced JSA players here who can give me some tips and tricks to building the army? If possible I'd prefer to stick with models that either wear helmets or otherwise don't have a face, such as TAGs and robots (Mostly due to the fact that I'm not a great painter, especially with regards to faces, plus I prefer the aesthetic). Looking mostly for what the different units are capable of, what synergizes well with each other, etc. From what I've been able to gather the army itself is very offensive, wanting to move close to the enemy as possible and resolve fights either with templates or CC, and isn't very good at staying back shooting it out, but beyond that I'm afraid I don't know much.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I've been looking at something similar myself for when I'm "done" with my ISS. Here's what I've found: can't be done without the Keisotsu. I guess you could do head swaps.

JSA are probably the worst sectoral at long ranged combat, but that's not actually saying a lot. A Keisotsu team will still put quite a bit of hurt on your enemy. However, what you really want to do is decide what your main means of specialist delivery is going to be; slogging it with Keisotsu or going for Aragoto or Ninja hackers. Karakuri can work, but their explode quality makes it tricky.

Do invest in missile launcher Raidens, though. They might feel like a crutch eventually, but dirt cheap for long range threat.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.
