So I've been out of the game for several months (As in, not played any games, been reflecting on the meta in my area, downsizing my armies, etc) and I've decided to build myself a solid, but rather static 2,000 pt list for my Orks and get rid of the rest. From what I've got, this list seems like it'll be the most competent and the most fun for me! So here we go.
This is a double detachment list using the basic Combined Arms and the Waaagh! detachment.
Combined Arms:
HQs:
Big Mek (Warlord) - Shokk Attack Gun ; Da' Finkin Cap ; Gitfinda
Big Mek - Shokk Attack Gun ; Da Lucky Stikk ; Gitfinda
Troops:
Boyz x 12 ; Nob w/ Bosspole, Big Choppa ; Ard Armor for the lot, Trukk w/Ram
Boyz x 12 ; Nob w/ Bosspole, Big Choppa ; Ard Armor for the lot, Trukk w/Ram
Fast Attack:
Blitza Bomma
Blitza Bomma
Heavy Support:
Mek Gunz - 2 Kustom Mega Kannonz, 1 Traktor
Mek Gunz - 2 Kustom Mega Kannonz, 1 Traktor
Deff Dread - 3 Klaws, 1 Skorcha
Waaagh! Detachment:
HQs:
Painboy
Painboy
Troops:
12 Boyz - Nob w/Bosspole, Big choppa, Ard Armor for the lot, Trukk w/ Ram
10 Gretchen
10 Gretchen
Elites:
3 Manz - All with Kombi Skorchas, Boss Nob has Bosspole , Trukk w/ Ram
3 Manz - All with Kombi Skorchas , Boss Nob has Bosspole, Trukk w/ Ram
Heavy Support:
Deff Dread - 3 Klaws, 1 Skorcha
Deff Dread - 3 Klaws, 1 Skorcha
Total:
1,995 pts
Brief placement of HQs, the Shokk Meks go with the Mek Gunz, clearly to add extra plates to their shooting. Da Finking Cap will hopefully get the infiltrate trait to help out my Manz get a bit closer to their preferred targets. Painboyz will tag along as cheap force multipliers, as well as help keep gunfire focused on them if all else fails, and to help keep them alive.
Boyz act as mid to far field suicide objective grabbers, armor hopefully going to aid their survival. Gretchen can hold back on back objectives or screen the kannons if they have too.
Deff Dreads just run wild. If they don't get shot, then they will do their job of ripping vehicles open or congesting squads in a combat they can't win. If they get shot at, then the Manz go left unchecked, seems like a win win either way.
Bommas come on later to harass the enemy mid game and help clean up or wreck whatever my Kannnz/Dreads/Manz failed to bust, or clear out hunkering infantry.

Shokk Attack Gun with Gitfinda is a good idea.
I'll assume your Gretchin are living shields.
I think the extra armour on your Boyz is a waste. Better spend some points on Shootas.
I'd put the two Traktor Kannons in their own unit.
Blitza Bommers are fun - and truly orky - anti-tank units.
Deff Dreads are fun. I prefer Kans, but some people like them more.
I'd replace the Kombi-Skorcha units with Burna Boyz if you want to lay down templates.
This list won't be the most competitive, but if you play your cards right, this fluffy build looks like it'll do some damage.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)
2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)
Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan! |

Thanks for the input!
Yes, grots are basically back field scoring units or provide a cover save to the gunz or even the Dreads if i need too.
I put armor to mitigate their death toll when those trucks will pop. I'd use shootas, but i do not own any shoota boyz at this time (sold them with most of my other ork stuff to cut down on stuff I rarely play)
I was considering putting the Traktors in their own squad, but having them split up in different batteries allows a sort of split fire. I know a lot of guys in my area run two fliers at least, that way it doesn't have to be all or nothing. I'll try the list out a bit, but definitely keep that idea in mind if it proves my strat isn't working well.
I love both, but I have to unload my Kanz to make room for Chaos stuff, and I can't part with my dreads. Plus they look too darn cool :p
I have the Kombi's as an anti charge weapon to soften anything that might try to deny me the charge or to soften a particularly punchy unit the Manz might find themselves up against before charging in. Burna Boyz themselves tend to be too expensive and don't survive in the slightest. The Manz aren't to spread templates, but to go punch things and burn whatever tries to punch first. :p
Won't be competitive, I agree. Not in general, but luckily the area I play at isn't really a cut throat venue. We all play pretty fluffy (With only a few exceptions). Granted, since this will be my only list at this point, countering it won't be hard. But I'll have fun with it anyway I'll tweak and possibly add to it as time goes on for sure, but not before I finish my Chaos XD

Don't have the BRB at hand but i don't think that gretchin give coversaves to either dreads or mek gunz as they are to small to be intervening moddels. I think the rule states that the bullets have to go through the unit to get a coversave if the bullet would go over the unit it doesn'tcount. I xould be wrong about this...
As for your army list.
I think gitfinda us waated on blast weapons and if yiu do the math on the armored boyz the armour is to expencive

I don't believe there is any restriction on the height of models. If you are firing at a unit, and something is in the way, I get the save. Line of sight doesn't work 'logically' like that. Otherwise, Grots wouldn't give a cover to even Boyz snce they are so small. Gaunts wouldn't give saves either.
Also, I know armor is expensive, but since I'm running so few troops anyway, I might as well make em last a little longer. Plus, it's all I've got for models I'm keeping :p

Why Waaagh! Another CAD is perfectly legal and probably better, since you're not running Big Bosspole.

I dunno, honestly XD I honestly couldn't remember if I could take two basic cads or if I had to use another detachment. Though it doesn't matter all that much in the end really, since I only want the second cad for HS and HQ slots, and the two HQ I need can't even use relics to begin with (Painboyz). I could just switch it to a normal cad. I spose the obsec is worth the change alone.
