I remember seeing something that allowed 1 squad of deathmarks to become troops
can someone remind me what it is? (it was either a special character or a list in IA12)

I can't find anything that makes Deathmarks troops (not that I've looked extensively). The IA12 list makes Flayed Ones troops?

There's no way to do that.
