I... actually don't know. Help?

I just got an idea: Would say a 5-man unit of Burna Boyz + a Mek in a Trukk be a smart way to both deliver anti-MEQ and give footslogging Boyz some cover? I'm asking because I'll be playing a 500 Points game this saturday against MEQ and presumably Guard.

At 500 points that's not a bad idea. Keep in mind both those armies should pop the trukk turn 1, and you can't hurt most guard vehicles. But, if you get to shoot at guard, it's great, and if you survive the attacks from the meqs, you'll cut armor.

I used to run burna boys a lot. But once they nerfed how our templates get wounds and raised our cost...i want their power weapons to be cool, but 16ppm is only what 3pts why of a Space Marine with a power sword... And we have initiative 2, str3, and no armor save...

I just can't justify the points anymore.

That being said, at 500pts, it's well worth trying it out.

The problem with burna boyz is that they are easy to kill if your opponent sets their mind to it. At 16 ppm with a 6+, finding a way to deliver them is important. I would suggest against taking them in a trukk unless you have other fast units that your opponents are going to have to worry about as an exploding trukk is enough to seriously mess your boyz up. If they can get into range, they can quickly make up their points against light armoured foes like the IG or in close combat with MEQs as long as you do not assault dedicated close combat units.

You're usually better off with tankbustas. But burna boyz have their uses too. Firstly, they look cool. Secondly...
