Hello,

It’s always nice to see an army of vintage, not manufactured from years models to be painted nowadays – and we had such a rare opportunity recently with the Cadian, full of old, metal models army based upon the Eye of Terror campaign. It was a great fun to pay attention to the models’ facial expression as well as producing the urban camo pattern. And to produce the armywide urban debris bases.

Also, the army was commissioned to be done without extensive OSL – and we took the more realistic way, really fitting for the common soldiers in the service of the Emperor, with pleasure We hope they’ll be of your liking as well – and stay focused, as there are several models more to appear soon!

As always, feel free to visit our gallery to see more photos.

How do you like the camo pattern on these models?

Wow! I love this army. Surely it is inspired from the WD from years ago when Cityfight was first released? IIRC the Imperial Guard army was painted up specially by the studio to play against an equally awesome Night Lords army. It even included, as is also the case here, the model for Colonel Schaeffer acting as the general for the Guard.

Anyway, you've really done them justice guys! Awesome job!

There is not this idea.

Very neat! I've actually got that shotgun cadian guy around here somewhere, gonna use this to inspire me to give him the paintjob he deserves.

Sweet IG. The blue, it looks like it wasn't just painted on, is it a multi-layer blue wash over white?

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

No, those are just the differently coloured stripes making the camo pattern.

It's amazing how a good paint job can make even old and retro looking models look great in a very modern way.

Love the camo scheme, and the use of the old models still looks great and fits the modern tabletop with the basing choices. No lime green base rims here!

I like the way 2nd Edition cadian Flak jacket looks like. it can be paint either as a Flak vest or as a tunic. back to the days Flak armor was much more flexible rather than being a steel cuirass (or it could be represented either way.

While Victorian 'cadians' appears to follow 2nd edition style. the flak armor torso is clearly 3rd edition stuff. Is there any suitable third party torso sets that resembles 2nd edition cadians available?

Hello,

We need to share it ith you as well, as we find this one very lovely

The owner of the Cadian army was grateful for the work we've done on the army, so much that he made a "thank you" drawing for us.

It's a really nice thing We have this one printed and pinned down in the studio as a reminder of a commission we have great memory of
