Hey Dakkazillas. Made a Storm Trooper list (Scions...) and I'm nut sure if it sucks or not. I have never really cared for storm troopers cos str3 ap3 isn't worth their points cost. But this list has quite a few of em

HQ
Tempestus Command Sqaud with 2 Volley Guns and a Vox

TROOPS
Storm Trooper Squad of 9
*2x plasma guns
*Taurox Prime with (lame) battle cannon and TL Autocannons

Storm Trooper Squad of 9

Storm Trooper Sqaud of 8
*2 melta guns
*Taurox Prime with Taurox Missle Launcher and TL Autocannons

Storm Trooper Sqaud of 9
*2 melta guns
*Taurox Prime with Taurox Missle Launcher and TL Autocannons

Storm Trooper Sqaud of 9
*2 Volley Guns
*Vox
*Taurox Prime with TL Gatling Cannon and TL Volley Guns

The 2 outstanding flaws that I can see off the bat - my command squad have no transport. I have no anti-air.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions or advice? Any idea what I could get rid of to fit my command Sqaud into a Taurox or perhaps a better option for them?

Cheers

You could drop one of the volley-gun squads and move the Taurox for your Command Squad - as well as outfitting them with that third volley-gun. With the saved points there, you could do a little shuffling and place some Valkyries in there - if you'd like. That'd probably mean less Tauroxes too though. If you're going up against lists with no flyers - then I could see this list doing pretty well, honestly. That's my two cents.

There's that ground assault formation you could consider.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

Hmm, good ideas! squeezing in a flier would be great. And I could do it by giving the CCS the Transport and getting rid of one of the squads. I couldn't arm my CCS with an extra Volley gun though as I only just have enough points to do those changes. Still, that works out a lot better.

That's a good point. I think I'd need to somehow squeeze in a commissar for that
