I... actually don't know. Help?

Sorry for posting so many threads today, but I've got at least 5 Ork torsos without any legs. Does anyone know any cool ideas for their legs? I know one, a Stormboy with guns for legs... Anything else?

I'd get used to having spare parts. I still only have about 1000 points worth of orks and I probably have about 30 spare arms, 8 or so torsos, a dozen heads, 20-ish weapons, and a bunch of miscellaneous bits.

Yeah, you tend to end up with more heads and arms and sometimes even torsos compared to legs. That's just how it is.

You could make Cyborks. Use pipe/card/sprue for legs, or maybe hunt around or a cheap lot of legs from another faction (Skitarii?).

Or... you could do something crazy/silly, like use arms for legs.

I'm not entirely sure if the scale matches up but maybe grab some FOW tanks for tank tread legs. Just a thought =D

You could convert deffkoptas into bikes which are generally cheaper to get but you need a few extra bits, depends if you want to do conversions and have the time.

Thanks for the idea, although I don't understand where you got Deffkoptas from.

ah my bad

They are from a box set called "Assault on Black Reach" (AOBR) which was Orks V Ultramarines.

It is now OOP so the best bet for the models including the deffkoptas is a site like ebay. They can go for cheap but only the auctions not the buy it nows. I bought many over the last year.

Some shameless self promotion, following a blog that was on Dakka but got deleted I built this from one. There are some WIP photos on one of my galleries.

Boar riders (cyboars) are one way to go. There are many examples here on Dakka. You could also re-purpose marine bikes; the cheapest way to get those is either second-hand, or out of a box set like Dark Vengeance. Scratch building them would be time consuming, but not impossible.

Addendum:
I was Googling around, and was led back here to Dakka with a post by silveroxide which shows how he scratch built bikes and jetbikes, among other things. Very impressive. Time consuming, but inexpensive.

Here's another paperhammer template for a jetbike.

You could also just make your own. Stick two sets of bottle caps together (from 1L soda, for instance), add some card, tube, and rivets, and you got yourself a bike!

Bionic legs assembled from any bitz you have. Totally legit.

Hi there, plasticcard and profiles should work, too.
I'm working on a few scratch built Meganobz and will use my version of legs for my left over torsos as well.

Hi there. I don't know if you still are looking for a solution, but I ran into the same situation, some torsos left but no more legs there.
So here are my scratch built legs for boyz.

Second this. They also make 'runnin' legs' as well.

I have kneeling legs for my Bad Moon shoota boys, and running legs for my Evil Sun Trukk Boys. It really helps break up the monotony of hordes, and it makes them a little more fun to paint, too.
