You're stranded on a desert island and permitted only one brush, one individual paint pot (please name the brand & color) and to keep things entertaining.. one woman. So what do you choose?

For instance I'd go with my Raphael 8404 #0, P3 Coal Black and Kate Upton.. but I'd change the brush to a #16 if she's kinky.

I'll bite. I'd take the same brush as it is an amazing workhorse brush. One paint pot is surprisingly the hardest choice. If the models aren't primed and with only one paint pot I'll have to forgo highlighting and just wash, making it Nuln Oil. As for the woman, well they aren't possessions so I couldn't take one, but if I just happened to be stranded with Anne Hathaway I'd like to make the most of the situation.

Can it be an old one?

The metallic purple that GW used to make, my Windsor and Newton no 7... I'd rather take my cat honestly.

I'm going with GW Lahmian Medium, a life saver for fixing decals, supposedly you can mix with color paints to make them flow better too.

The brush - fine detail brush.

The paint pot - Nuln Oil, love that stuff.

The woman - Zorana Nevescanin, the female Croatian boat builder. You didn't say we'd have to STAY on the Island

Do I get any models (besides the woman?)

Maybe a metallic because the desert sun would naturally create great highlights due the reflective particles, so I could paint knights, necrons, iron hands, iron warriors etc.

Would a big bucket of paint medium count as a paint? This way I could make my own pigment from desert island resources (ground down sunbleached shells for white, blood for orange, etc) and have a range of colours!

For my woman, I'd take one of GW's sculpting team. Maybe Trish so I can have lots of 2d style monster sculpts to paint!

I just won't ask what material she is sculpting things out of for me :S.

If she won't be able to sculpt on the island I'll just take a woman that specialises in desert island survival.

For my brush I'd take a double ended paint brush, made from a very fine tip on one side, and then a more generalised tip on the other end.

Yay for sexist objectifying threads! That'll help with the image of wargamers! Weeee!

Do you really expect high social awareness from someone who just posted a giant breasts meme in a topic about making miniatures more subtle?
I think sometimes folk just have different levels of understanding of what's acceptable chatter in the bar with your friends vs public display...

It's okay though, the three women who read Dakka per week are probably sleeping.

Yeah, it's terrible.... the question should have been "You're stranded on a desert island and permitted only one brush, one individual paint pot (please name the brand & color) and to keep things entertaining.. one woman or one man."

Don't want to leave out the female and male homosexual gamers

As to the question.... well.... I can't paint a model with only one paint so I'm kind of at a loss Assuming the models are undercoated white...

Any ol' Kolinsky
Windsor and Newton Van Dyke Brown Oil paint

That way even I can try my hand at some awesome oil blending to create more artsy looking miniatures, lol.
