So I hope this lands in the right topics section! Brand new to the warhammer universe but I've been doing a ton of reading and planning and dakkadakka forums have been some of the most helpful so I decided to join the community. To that end Im planning on buying a Dark Vengence box set to start building my Dark Angels army and was wondering if anyone in the Philadelphia area wanted to split one with me, I'm also open to the idea of splitting 2 if you wanted that many CSM and a small format rule book.

First of all,
Welcome to dakka dakka and the hobby. It's pretty fun. The forum members are pretty nice for the most part, but some debates can be pretty heated. Those forums are heavily moderated.

Be nice to your fellow gamers on the forums even when they are not nice to you.

Don't post copyrighted images.

Try to post in the correct section. That will increase the likelyhood that your question will be answered. This would be appropriate for "40k You Make Da Call" which is the rules questions forums.

This is on page 125 of the old codex: If a unit is all terminators they don't scatter in deep strike as long as they do so within 6" of the owner of the homer. Also the homer must have been on the battlefield since the start of the turn. That is, they can't come in from reserves and then allow other termies benefit from the homer.

Ahh, thanks for the informative response but I wasn't really asking a question about teleport homers, just trying to be clever as I'm sure you've all seen a million 'long time lurker first time poster' threads.

Hi. Welcome to Dakka.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Hi,
