Stunning, did you do study graphic design by any chance? Doing chrome is one of the first things we learned in graphics class and I always wanted to do it to models. You did everything I remember being told (chrome in a desert is most striking etc).

White Dwarf back in the day had a Chrome Tau army which I will never forget. It looked easier to chrome the Tau though...

Awesome idea and application, it's the layout of the reflections that are getting me. It makes no sense the horizon would be made vertical up his leg, it'll definitely be wonked due to the curved surface, but it should look more like a regular reflection. I found some chrome marines on google that show what I mean:

Aside from that, it's some absolutely stunning work, be proud.

Very interesting and impressive. I haven't really seen much of this style. It absolutely oozes the 80's.

Probably already aware but Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell are probably the masters of painting chrome. Check out virtually any of their works to get a really good frame of reference.

I think the reflection looks great as-is and realistic, given the curvature and angle of the leg.

If you like SE/NMM then it's very good. Personally, the single-perspective viewing requirement for that particular technique leaves me kind of tepid on it.

Actually the horizontal refection front on, would be of the rack he's standing on, and that would be horizontal. So really that is correct, the back side of the legs might not be but who cares, I'm not going to be an armchair painter. That looks friggin awesome
