Been away from dakka for a couple of weeks due to starting back at work and my free time being eaten away by the new Walking Dead mobile game. But I came up with this list last night and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed by what I've fit into the list. Now I don't have the Eldar yet, the griffon, the wyverns, the quad mortars (Thudd guns) or a 3rd earthshaker, but I am definitely aiming towards collecting this. For those unfamiliar with Renegade (Purge) rules they will be mentioned after the list.
Renegades (The Purge):
Arch demagogue, Ordnance Tyrant (in a rapier battery)
4 disciples
3 spawn
3 spawn
3 spawn
1 Earthshaker
1 Earthshaker
1 Earthshaker
Platoon
10 renegades with 2 flamers
Chimera with heavy flamer
10 renegades with 2 flamers
Chimera with heavy flamer
10 renegades with 2 flamers
Chimera with heavy flamer
1 Quad Mortar
1 Quad Mortar
1 Quad Mortar
3 Rapier Laser Destroyers
Militia training
3 Rapier Laser Destroyers
Militia training
2 Wyverns
1 Griffon
Plasma Oblitorator
Eldar:
Aspect Host
3 Dark Reapers (1 of which is an Exarch)
5 Fire Dragons
Wave Serpent with Scatter laser and Shuriken Cannon
5 Fire Dragons
Wave Serpent with Scatter laser and Shuriken Cannon
1850pts
So The Purge has 6 Elite (2 of which are compulsory) and 4 HS slots which I have taken full advantage of. Ordnance Tyrant allows me to take Quad Mortars as troops and Earthshakers as elites. It also allows me to shoot units locked in combat with my own (with barrage weapons).
All blast weapon templates stay on the board for a turn and count as dangerous terrain. With 20 small blasts and 4 large blasts, this will cause havoc for my opponents manouverability. All flamers count as having shred and gets hot.
The Dark Reapers go in the Oblitorator to give 2! bs6 st7 ap2 Primary weapon 7" blasts that ignore jink, followed by 4 ignoring jink st5 ap3 bs5 shots. So anything relying on a jink save is screwed.
I have 26 seperate units so MSU is covered. The units are so cheap that I can effectively ignore flyers.
Anti tank comes in the form of 6 bs3 tl st9 ap1 ordnance, 3 st9 5" ordnance and 2 squads of fire dragons. Anti troop is prevalent throughout the list.
The mobile (outside of deployment zone scoring) part of the army consists of 9 spawn, 3 chimeras, 30 renegades, 10 fragons and 2 wave serpents split into 13 seperate units.
If I need speed bumps, the disciples, renegades and spawn should be sufficient (and allow me to pummel the opponent in assault with them with all the artillery).
Should be a nasty list to face. What do you think?
I could drop the scatter lasers down to a second shuriken cannon on both serps and use the 10pts to get an autocannon for the disciples. I lose 12" range and 1 st6 shot on each serp but gain 2 st7 ap4 shots on the disciples and psudo-rending on the shuriken cannon shots (also syncs better with the other shuriken cannon and the shield). Is this a better idea?
